Gem provided  hourly care service for my Dad, who had Alzheimer’s, approximately two years ago to assist with bathing, some general care, some housekeeping, and some respite care so my mother could take a break. 
 
I was very pleased with the level of care and attention to his needs, adjusting services as his needs increased. Therefore, when my mother needed full-time live-in care, it was an easy decision to request Gail and Gem’s Caretakers. She has now been in-charge of my mother’s care, 24 hours a day, for over 8 months. She is diligent in her personal care, tends to housekeeping much better than my mother was doing even before her fall, is attentive to what my mother wants and needs, and has adjusted her care as my mother has become increasingly dependent and frail.
 
She seeks out appropriate resources to help with her care, but always, always, checks with me first before she accesses any other providers or products. She follows through with any suggestions or recommendation.
 
She is completely trustworthy in her care and in making the daily decisions required to care for an aging individual as they become less capable to make those decisions for themselves. And she insists that her staff meet the high standards that she has set. She has unfailing patience, a good sense of humor, and is consistently cheerful, which is a real plus for her clients and their families. She encourages those traits in her staff as well. I have been extremely pleased and trust her completely with my mother and her care.
